The Beaufort Bournemouth Beano

Beaufort Financial Launch

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1529339747817{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]It’s a simple fact. We couldn’t do what we do without the support of some great community-focused businesses that sponsor and support us on our rides as we continue to raise money and awareness for Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

So, a massive thanks to Beaufort Financial who have stepped up to the plate (again) as our main sponsor for 2018’s ride from Basingstoke to Bournemouth and back.

Today, we got together with Mark and Ashley from Beaufort (both also taking part in the ride) to show them some of the branding that will be making its way with us on our journey.[/vc_column_text][mk_image src=”https://arkriders.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/beaufort-flag.jpg” image_width=”900″ image_height=”675″ desc=”Ashley Hull and Mark Dolby (left) from Beaufort Financial with Mark Jones (right) from Ark Cancer Centre Charity.” caption_location=”outside-image” align=”center” margin_bottom=”30″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1529339693767{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]

Mark Jones from the charity (right) got it spot-on when he said,

We’re lucky enough to have the support of some great local companies and it’s guys like Beaufort Financial that help us drive forward with our fundraising. Time and again they’ve pitched in with financial support for events, not to mention supplying “Ark Riders” in each of the three years of these cycling events.

Charity Of The Year

The Beaufort Financial team has supported Ark Cancer Centre Charity as their chosen charity of the year for the past three years and 2018 has already seen some of the team abseil down the Emirates Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth as part of their fundraising and have already raised over £2800 this year alone. Mark Dolby, from Beaufort, explains why,

Cancer is a disease that is all too prevalent in the community and I’ve seen the effects it has first-hand in my own family, as well as the families of people at Beaufort and beyond. So, if we can help make a difference as a collective, and, as a business, facilitate some larger-scale fundraising, then we are happy to help.

The people of Basingstoke and North Hampshire need this cancer centre and we’ll be there the day the door is opened and people start to benefit. Until then, we’ll keep up with the fundraising.

Craig Killick, one of the organisers of the Bournemouth Beano added,

The fact of the matter is, companies like Beaufort Financial allow us to create these events in the first place by allowing our riders to focus more on fundraising. That’s reflected in the amount we’ve managed to raise over the past two-and-a-half-years, which currently stands at £177,000, and, the momentum behind our growth – we’re a very lucky bunch.
